A balanced Single Malt Whiskey from Houston, Texas finished in port wine barrels. It has an aromatic birth with notes of grain, wood, dried fruits, nuts, herbs & spices; while a rich & full life adds notes of vanilla; that led to a long death with a touch of oak, coffee & cinnamon. There is something just fundamentally off about the taste in this whiskey. It is so woody and bitter that very little of the character of the drink comes through.
Amber. Spiced, caramel aroma. Nothing fancy, one dimensional, but pretty smooth.
