Obviously very young. Strong notes of chemicals and butterscotch compete in the nose. The flavor ramps up to a cinnamon spice and then fades to a generic burn. Altogether it’s not a great bourbon but not entirely unpalatable. Could use some more time in the barrel to tone down the brash youthfulness evident throughout. Best on ice.

Actually enjoying this. Definitely has some young heat to it (that settles down with a splash of water). The barrel taste is strong, which might put folks off, but I enjoy it this time of year. Not a ton of complexity, but woody with vanilla and caramel. A nice linger after the final sip.

Like a young buffalo trace on the nose. Cherry, acetone, vanilla. I get a high rye / minty / dill but somewhat thinner body with some classic vanilla. I get some fresh oak and definitely tastes young.

Barrel #772 bottled at barrel strength of 112 proof - Whole Foods Seattle barrel pick. Aged around 3 years. Notes of cereal, honey, cherry, and brown butter.

Super aggressive grain flavor right off the bat, light spices come after. Good rich body helps with the power of the flavor. Chocolate comes in on the tail.

Cool logo. Decent local batch whisky. 50% ABV gives it kick, but it’s surprisingly not as harsh as others in that high ABV class.
