By far one of the strangest bourbons I’ve ever had. The nose was delightful with vanilla, caramel and something I couldn’t put my finger on. Then the taste isn’t too strong but it was the finish that made this so crazy. It was like a coffee/toffee IPA. Someone could have told me I was drinking a very strong coffee IPA and I would have believed them. I wouldn’t buy this bottle as it is not something I would drink normally. The nose then transitioned to smelling of an IPA with coffee notes. Such an odd but interesting dram.

Very unique flavor. The hops from the IPA is very pronounced on the nose as well as the palate. Floral notes from the Chardonnay barrels are equally pronounced, which linger through to the finish. Vanilla and honeysuckle come in and out. Not your everyday whiskey and certainly not for everyone. An cold cube is recommended.
Wonderful caramel toffee notes with some chocolate. Great hot Caramel sauce with ginger so finish. Can’t decipher any heat on the palate until you’ve already swallowed.
It is a fine and balanced whiskey. Great aroma on nose. Vanilla and caramel flavor. Yes it is expensive but I think it worth it
Incredibly interesting. I would seriously think I was drinking an IPA that is incredibly strong. Really enjoyable though.
Amador Single Barrel - or at least I thought the bottle said single barrel. STL airport. Thanks!
