Long legs in the glass. Sweet brown sugar nose, molasses and a slight spice and pepper. Does not bring the alcohol you might expect at this proof. Very sweet on the palate, caramel and brown sugar with a hint of almond. Flavor is concentrated on the middle of the tongue. Spice and heat come with the finish and fades nicely with the heat lingering in your chest. Unique and very nice. Follow up, the more I drink this, the more I like it. This whiskey is borderline exceptional. Finishing my second bottle of this, my opinion hasn't changed. This is easily the best Barrell batch I've had, although I have to admit I'm not a long time drinker of Barrell products.

Gosh I love Barrell! Batch 26 is like no bourbon I have tasted. Sweet floral notes almost akin to plumeria and blooming jasmine. With a rich buttery napa chardonnay. Oily viscous. Lingers and hangs on. With a rich a dessert wine profile of botrytis grapes which has this really earthy musty note. Like a candy cap mushroom.
Toasted marshmallow and vanilla fill out the top notes of this bourbon. Hints of leather and smoke round out the mid notes, followed by a slight burn from the high proof. The sweetness in the beginning really rounds out the flavor and smooths the alcohol sting. Great expression.
Nose: Dark fruits, caramel, baking spices and floral notes. Palate: Rich, syrupy and semi-sweet with caramel, brown sugar, baking spices, dried fruits, leather and a little heat. Finish: Long with dried fruits, baking spices, caramel, tobacco and leather note.
Very solid bourbon. Apple and heavy cherry on the nose and more cherry on the palate. Good mouthfeel. Medium finish. Does not taste like a 112 proofer.
Sweet and thicc, molasses and fruit, ripe vanilla and pineapple cream. Spice but the the sweetness dominates and this is amazing
