Bordiga Gin Smoke

An elegant, Smoked Gin by Bordiga Distillery in the Occitan region of Italy. It was discovered by accident; a delivery of juniper berries was set next to a coal fire. When the Gin from that batch was tasted, the distiller master was greeted with a pleasant surprise. The botanical mix was tweaked to compliment the smoke flavor, including angelica, cardamom, coriander, licorice, & 3 more which are smoked prior to infusion. The base Spirit is distilled 4 times from local grains. It has an aromatic birth with notes of earth, leafy herbs & a hint of mineral-rich smoke; while a complex life adds notes of oily juniper, cardamom, wet leaves, pine bark, mineral water, a bit of black pepper & coriander; that leads to a long & balanced death.
