A retired couple set up the still in a village called "Bichinho" near the historic city of Tiradentes, in the state of Minas Gerais. The still has tourist facilities and is open for guided tours. Called Mazuma Mineira, the cachaça from the still is stored in different types of wood. This sample was aged for 1 year in American oak barrels. Notes: golden yellow, aromatic, vanilla, coconut, dried fruits, spices, integrated alcohol, woody, long finish. Source: Mazuma Mineira website.
