Captain Morgan Private Stock Rum

The nose is super sweet. Vanilla and butterscotch are predominant followed by candied apricot and pineapple. There is also a mild amount of spice perhaps a nutmeg or clove that adds to the fragrance. The taste is super sweet, almost a liqueur. The pineapple and apricot make themselves known but are overshadowed by the super sweet vanilla and butterscotch notes. This would give Bumbu a run for the sweetness crown. Too sweet for my palate but would make a wonderful cocktail. Very basic straight forward vanilla and sweet rum little spice, little cocoa I enjoy this rum I think of this as the poor mans diplomatic it’s a lot like diplomatic I but the flavor only last for about 2 seconds and then you get bitter vs diplomatic the flavor last for about 5 seconds and diplimatico is much more renounce I enjoy this rum and I would buy again very sweet vanilla I enjoy it just straight a lot like diplimatico but more burn and not bitter and less flavor wheel give it a try if you like sweet you will love it especially for the price

캪틴큐 35% 향 : 위스키와는 확연하 다른 달콤한 향이 납니다. 어떤 향일지 꼼꼼히 들여다보니 공룡이 그려져있는 덴버껌(풍선껌) 과 같은 향이 납니다. 누구라도 이 향을 맏으면 인공적으로 표현된 향임을 알 수 있을 정도입니다. 맛 : 맛이라고 할게 별로 없지만 살짝 달콤한 소주 느낌입니다. 다시 말하면 스파이시가 거의 없어서 이 시음기를 쓰는 내내 머금고 있을 정도입니다(실제로 ㅎㅎ). 가장 적합한 맛 표현은 소주가 달게 느껴지는 날의 맛입니다. 단맛을 조금 품은 소주맛이고, 질감도 물과 크게 다르지 않습니다. 피니쉬 : 꿀떡 삼키는 순간 날숨을 통해 덴버껌이 슬쩍 지나갑니다. 달콤함이 지나간 후에는 놀라울 정도로 남아있는 것이 없습니다.

Smells and tastes like sweet vanilla syrup. It's like a more refined, less spicy version of the original rum. To me, it's excellent neat or with ice. If you plan to mix regardless, you might as well use the original and save about $10.

There's quite a few other rums I would take over a base line Capt. Morgan bottle but I will say that Private Stock is my favorite of all of his. I'll drink Private Stock over the rest that Morgan has to offer.

I pretty much agree on flavors with the expert review. Don't agree with "super sweet." It has sweetness but not super. It's one of my favorite spiced rums and not pricey.
