About this bottle

The Código 1530 process begins with 100% blue weber agave grown in Amatitán, Mexico. The agaves are harvested 7 years after planting, cooked in ovens made of stainless steel, and distilled twice. Código 1530 Reposado rests for six months in Napa cabernet French white oak barrels and is then bottled at 40% ABV. Additive free.

AnttiRG 3.5

A complex, aged Agave Spirit by NOM 1500 from Amatitán, Mexico; the only Reposado over seven years old that is then aged for 6 months in the finest Napa Cabernet French White Oak barrels. It has an aromatic birth with notes of agave & green pepper; while a rich & spicy life adds notes of vanilla, cacao & caramelized nuts, that lead to a balanced death. December 2019

Aromas of vanilla custard, dark fruit, agave. Slight ethanol. Palate has agave and citrus, with a bit of caramel. The finish has more influence from the cab barrel, with some tannins, chocolate, dark fruit, and some orange pith. This is a nice unique repo, but could be a touch better integrated.

Gold color on the pour. Nose is floral, almost perfume like with a hint of alcohol. Vegetal agave, slight fruity sweetness and a trace of alcohol on the palate with a faint burn. Medium mouthfeel and finish. Good stuff although the slight alcohol taste was off putting.

On the nose: notes of oak, agave, vanilla, caramel, and pepper. Flavors: agave, oak, vanilla, caramel, and orange peel. Drank neet with a vet small piece of ice. Must have really liked it because I finished a bottle over 3 days.

This stuff is bananas! Literally, I taste caramel and bananas. ( my wife says no but I don't care what she says!) ;-) I also get really nice vanilla and light oak notes. This stuff is super smooth too. I drank this neat.

ygghuurr 3.5

Light caramel sweetness in the begining, changing to orange peels, salt, lime, more fresh than roasted agave, hay and oak, and a tiny dash of fruitiness. finish is a little spicy but nothing crazy. I like
