Nose: damper and more subdued in comparison to the regular quarter cask; dates and pecans, note of corn. Palate: sweet stewed strawberries, macadamia, pecan, caramel, allspice, cinnamon and leather. Finish: long syrupy, sweet, raisiny and resinous, with a hint of spice—like a Mackintosh’s toffee bar. Water opens up the spicy notes. Cask 53; Bottle 43167, 56.9%
