About this bottle

First announced in July 2019, Dos Hombres Mezcal is a collaboration between Breaking Bad actors Aaron Paul and Bryan Cranston. The duo sourced a mezcal producer in the village of San Luis del Rio in Oaxaca, Mexico to produce their mezcal. It's made with espadín agave which is roasted in an earthen pit for four days. Then the cooked agave is crushed with a tahona stone and open-air fermented for several days. After distillation in a copper pot, the mezcal is brought to proof and bottled without aging. (SRP $59.99)

Breaking Bad Booze! It’s ok. Nothing game changing. Sweeter and more fruity than I expected from a mezcal. A little smoke but not much. It had a thin mouthfeel but def still a drinkable mezcal! I like a lot of smoke and rich flavor / thicker mouthfeel in my mezcals. I think it’s probably $20-30 overpriced in my opinion. It almost feels like a bottle for those that like tequila and are maybe afraid of trying mezcal. Worth trying but I probably won’t get another bottle. Sorry Aaron & Bryan!

Nose: light sweet roasted agave, mild smoke, light salt Taste: heavier on the smoke, sweet ripe apples, wood, slight mango Overall: this is great for a mixed drink, it has a lot of flavor that I think will mix well with drinks; also great for anyone who really enjoys a nice smoky mezcal

Better Call Saul finale celebration extraordinaire. Smells of strong lemon solvent and then whiffs of softly smoky tequila. Tastes as strong as you'd think, but much sweeter.

What a great journey in this glass. Leather, cooked carne asada smoked cedar. There is a hint of tobacco as well. Wow. Must buy.

Honestly you can tell a celebrity worked with someone who knows what they are doing, still nothing spectacular but its solid

Very interesting. Do not dig the smell but definitely enjoy the taste. Holy smoke. Plus fruity sweetness.
