About this bottle
This mezcal is distilled from 100% Agave Americana -- commonly known as arroqueño -- which grow semi-wild in Miahuatlan, Oaxaca. The agave are harvested after 14 years and pit-roasted in the traditional manner. The roasted piñas are crushed using a mule-drawn tahona before the juices are open fermented. This mezcal is double-distilled and produced in small batches due to sustainable practices in conserving wild agave plants. Arroqueño is known for its enormous size and long ripening period -- as long as 30 years.

Super smooth, light on the smoke, bartender showed me the bottle - only 350 bottles total out there in circulation, so some spendy stuff, very nice sipping Mezcal, though I like the del maguey arroqueno a bit better (probably similar price point).
Beautifully sweet - there are lots of fruity esters in here which makes it taste like candy. There is smoke and umami towards the finish so you get a good balance of everything. 95
Bit of a punch at first, this os a powerful liquid, sweet aftertaste. 50.3% ABV will kick strain in. This is an amazing Mezcal, and those bottles aren’t easy to get.
Sweet + fruity, with no lack of smoke, exactly as described. Jumps around and excites all the taste buds. Nice easy finish
Best mezcal of my life. All in on this one baby.
