This is the flagship expression of this modern French gin that is made with a mix of botanicals that include juniper, citrus, mandarin, red pepper, jasmine, and elder flower—some of which is distilled and some macerated in the distillate. It is bottled at 44% ABV.

Great bottle. Not that that counts, but it’s definitely a nice aesthetically pleasing addition to the collection. As for the contents, there are flowers, orange zest, juniper, white pepper, mint and lemons. Lots of citrus peel, lime and juniper up front in the taste with flavors of pepper and mixed herbs following. Interesting flavor profile for sure, finishing with citrus flesh and peel, lemongrass and grass.
French Gin? Interesting, unfortunately, not as smooth and elegant as I expected besides the bottle, of course. Flavors and aromas are delicious however, at 44% it was way too upfront with alcohol but, it’s pretty good for cocktails, like French 75.
