Heavy on the oak characteristics of sawdust and vanilla, altho with light notes of cinnamon and caramel, as is more common with the brand, but spreads out past that, with blackcurrant, blueberries, orange peel, coriander, violets and azaleas. Finish is very long and draws more toward orange pith and coriander.
Absolutely fantastic cognac that is both smooth and contains a ton of character. It changes over your palette long after you swallow.
I definitely did not expect the richness of flavor this one offers based on my limited experience with other cognacs. Extremely good.
