Very smooth, but relatively flat. Not a lot going on in this bottle to be 20 years old, but it is incredibly smooth. For $80, its hard not to try.
Hirsch Special Reserve American Whiskey 20 Year
About this bottle
Hirsch Special Reserve American Whiskey 20 Year was made using a bourbon mash bill, but rather than maturing for 20 years in new, charred American oak, it spent those decades in used barrels which is why it is not classified as a bourbon. The production run was limited to 120 barrels. It was bottled at 48% ABV.

smooth from nose to finish. will definitely be on the look out for a bottle for the house. Tate's in Dallas until then.
Caramel start, smooth, and a note of cinnamon at the end. Pairs well with spicy, chocolate desserts.
Very nice although overpriced. Smooth Carmel's with a little charcoal. They did a good job.
Don't think I had the 20 yr but the regular is sweet smooth and delicious
Astringent cherries. No thank you.
