This expression is distilled from 100% malted rye grown in Finland that is smoked using Finnish freshwater peat. It is matured in a combination of barrels: new American oak that once held previous batches of Kyrö Peat Smoke, ex-bourbon, and ex-bourbon barrels once used for ex-Kyrö Malt (note: proportions vary by batch).

Weird aroma I cant place, I think it might be leather? Flavor is a mingling of sweet and spicy with that same weird probably-leather flavor. Peat smoke is sprinkled in there too, but I would say spice is the most forward. The sweetness balances it and there's a nice tingly tail, but its not really for me.
Very special and profounding moss-like flavor here, I have never tasted anything like it. Other than that there is sweetness and spiciness along with it. This should age wonderfully.
Not bad for it's age, actually tasty on this age category. Misses just smoothness by aging.
