About this bottle

This is a seasonal release from Laws Whiskey House. The name is derived from the type of wheat used in its production — Centennial wheat, an heirloom spring soft white varietal grown for them by the Cody family in the San Luis Valley. This bonded wheat whiskey is aged a minimum of 7 years and is bottled at 100 proof (50% ABV).

Nose: lots of red fruit and orange, cherry, and sweet oak Taste: very sweet, the orange comes through nicely with a bit of black pepper. Rye-ish without the baking spices, very sweet with a tickling of heat Finish: the sweetness quickly fades to the tingling black pepper and anise, that really lingers around a bit

Very smooth sipper. I really enjoyed this sip. A couple of drops of water really opened the flavors up.
