About this bottle

Los Siete Misterios Tobalá is double distilled in clay pots, the classic method of mezcal production. Tobalá is a species of agave harvested in the wild and with a much lower yield than more commonly used agaves. The bottle features a skeleton on a throne of agave, a nod to tobalá being considered the "king of agave".

Los Siete Misterios Tobala 2013 An intense agave spirit by NOM-O153X crafted with Tobala agave & double distilled with notes of baked agave & smoke. Tobala are different from your average Espadin agave, a regular favorite for use in Mezcal. Instead of the long, pointed leaves of the Espadin, the Tobala feature wide, flat leaves and a smaller piña, which means more of them are used to make the same amount of Mezcal. April 2017
