Creamy amburana nose. Clean and buttery. Amburana is the star. A touch of oak and dried fruits in the finish. Being new to Amburana and Cachaca, it's an acquired taste but easily deciphered as a quality presentation.

About this bottle
Released in October 2017, this is the third release in Novo Fogo's Two Woods Series following Tanager (2015) and Graciosa (2016). This special release cachaça aged in re-purposed American oak and legally-sourced Amburana aka Brazilian teak. Colibri is Portuguese for hummingbird. Bottled at 42% ABV.

Interesting cinnamon flavor on top of other cachaca flavors such as vanilla and banana. I enjoyed it as aperitif prior to dinner.
