I’m new to rum but I find this one quite nice to drink as first impression, It’s easy to drink with fruity opening and cinnamon/ woodsy aftertaste. Nothing complex but worth the price tag. If you are a whisky drinker then this is as good as Teachers in terms of quality, in other words it is on the top rank of the cheap rum. Not complex but nice to drink. This is second rum experience after captain morgan spiced rum which was not so nice pick. But this one is definitely nice and I will be buying other bottles from this brand.
On the nose this one is loaded with vanilla, honey, apricot, mango, and pear. The mouth feel is lovely as well, with peppery notes coming through with the vanilla. Tropical flavors burst through as well filling the mouth with a mix of Bartlett pear and apricot. The flavors however are fleeting a product of the low proof of this product. Overall: Nose 4/5; Taste 3.75/5; Overall 3.9/5 Repurchase: Yes Type: Daily Drinker
Nose: Lots of aromas which makes it hard for me to separate them. One general armoa reminds me of christmas (saffron, nutmeg, vanilla, cinnamon) Palate: Nutmeg, vanilla, cinnamon Finish: A bit light and dry This is a rum that will be very interesting to revisit after having more experience discerning flavors
Mellow aromas of butterscotch, lemon curd, lime peel, vanilla, and nutmeg. Light and rounded in the mouth. Palate is more vibrant, with fresh coconut; more lime peel, butterscotch, nutmeg, and vanilla; and a hint of cut grass on the finish – which is medium-length and very smooth. 3.25/5.00 – Quite Good (neat)
Nose: juicy plums, nectarines, dark chocolate, oranges Palate: oaky, added sugar smoothness, syrupy, low abv watered down Finish: short Pity it’s added sugar which has quelled the age characteristics and then watered down to lessen the flavor even more.
