Rich, fulsome agave nose with a fresh character. Quite vegetal. On the tongue, it has a round and nigh creamy mouthfeel, with a clean agave flavor percolated with peppery notes and a hint of toasted marshmallow and wood tannins. A long and drying finish, leaving the palate refreshed and awaiting the next sip. The additional heft of the ABV gives a boost to craft cocktails that demand a bit more notice. We like the overall profile for those looking to experience the purest form of a blanco.
About this bottle
This Still Strength Blanco from Suerte is the first such release from the brand. This initial release will consist of just 1,530 bottles — a nod to the NOM (Norma Oficial Mexicana), the four digit code on the bottle which identifies where the tequila was produced. Tequilera Simbolo in the Highlands of Jalisco is the dedicated distillery which produces all Suerte Tequilas using traditional methods such as slow roasting and crushing agaves with a tahona stone. Bottled at 104 proof, Suerte Still Strength Blanco is offered at pre-order via the brand's website beginning August 7, 2023 with bottles shipping to 44 states in early September 2023. (SRP $69.99)
