Tiger Snake Sour Mash is the brainchild of the Limeburners distillery, and Australia first legal sour mash. A bourbon at heart, legality issues prevent the whiskey (spelled with an “e” to denote the American-style) from being called such. Limeburners has made the whiskey using a mix of corn, rye and malted barley, and each bottle is individually numbered in the batch that it was released in. This sour mash has raised the bar for Australians, the first batch winning a medal from the Royal Agricultural Society of Tasmania.

Australian Whiskey always cops a bit of flack for being more expensive but in this case, it’s well worth it Tiger Snake is a brilliant take on the bourbon style of whisky and the vanilla soaked almond note is phenomenal. Easy to drink neat or with a dash of water (if you must) but is also a great mixer for that special evening with friends. 5 stars, my favourite whiskey!
This is not bad but I just can't justify the price with so many top whiskies in the price range. This is sweet and clean and that's as good as it gets Dan Murphy whisky tasting 13 sept 17
