Light caramel color, then caramel and vanilla on the nose with slight stone fruit. Follows through on the palate with the caramel, initially mellow, with some fruit-forward honey notes, plus a touch of spice, then the smoke kicks in, and it trails back off to a nice long sweet finish. Very pleasant!
About this bottle
The Warenghem family first founded their namesake distillery in the Brittany region of France in 1900. In 1998, they created the Armorik, the first single malt whisky from Brittany. Armorik Double Maturation used a 100% malted barley mash that is distilled and aged in new Brittany oak casks before being finished in ex-oloroso sherry barrels.

Wowza! This is delicious, and very much resembles the Glenlivet Nadurra First Fill, though at a lower ABV. Pears and faint flowers to the nose, with the palate adding an additional layer of wood. The body is oily with a smooth finish. Recommend!
I bought it directly at the distillery. It is interesting! The taste is well balanced between wood and floral/herbal. Lightly smoky not peaty. for my taste, it is a good one.
Very light on the nose with hints of flowers and vanilla. Palette is surprisingly spicy with some slight sweetness. Finish is slightly bitter. Very smooth and easy to drink.
Dusty walnuts, wax, lanolin, and sawdust make up the majority of the experience, with a smattering of light sherry cask characteristics adding some sweetness as a background
I really enjoyed this, lots of green apple on the nose. Very fruity and sweet in body. Really interesting cask flavors, particularly some roasty vanilla flavor.
