Brought this mezcal home from Mexico, it’s a true winner. Great flavor, but not overwhelming—rare with mezcals. Was able to integrate it into cocktails without it overwhelming all other ingredients. Smooth and great on its own.
About this bottle
When we think of Pechuga, which means "breast," we associate this style of mezcal with poultry. Bruxo's Pechuga, the work of maestro Pablo Garcia, is an unusual vegetarian creation in which the roasted maguey heart is infused in the mezcal itself for a bolder agave flavor profile. The base spirit is a blend of espadín and wild (barril) varietals.

Nose of brine, earth, slight wood smoke, minty and bitter herbs, mesquite, green agave, fresh bread and wood. Rich, vegetal and herbal on the palate, minty, earthy, with wood, grass, agave and light smoke. Divine.
Nice piece that almost completely excludes smoke from the taste and lets you concentrate on its herbal/flower side
Thanks @Looneyhead Tried neat. On the nares its smoky. On the palate its smooth and smoky and sweet
Herbaceous, vegetal, fruity, with a hint of smoke and salt. Almost oily.
Smooth, not super smoky.
