Cantera Negra Anejo delivers a good expression. It strays away form an agave centric experience with more of a bourbonesque feel. Heavy aromas of oak and spices like that of anise and oregano are noted. Hints of caramel are also present. The flavor profile follows suit with a heavy oak and spice component with added dry heat of Chile arbol. There is a finish of bitters and oak that leaves a slightly unpleasant lingering characteristic on the palate.

An intense, Tequila by Mr. Becherano for Destiladora González González in Jalisco, Mexico aged for an average of 30 to 36 months. It has a bold birth with notes of citrus & spices; while a bold & spicy life adds notes of cooked agave, earth, caramel, biscuit & lime; that lead to a long & warming death with notes of wood & vanilla. Toasted vanilla nose with hint of orange. Light agave on the taste, the barrel and vanilla mix well with it. I would sip this next to my whiskey and rum any night.
Drank in a flight. Great flavor. Liked this better then the Resposado.
Really rough. Strong burn. Astringent.
Smooth with a hint of smokiness
