Rating: 11/23 I was really impressed by the blanco from this brand, so I'm looking forward to trying this one. N: It's a bit dry and light, with kind of flat wood coming in. Pretty big oiliness with lime, something a tad savory, and some sweetness that hints at fruits, but that I'm struggling to place. Some organic herbal notes, but they aren't vegetal. Actually quite a complex and enjoyable nose. P: Lots of wood. It's flat with astringency. I think the wood is tying into the bitter element of the lime in an unfortunate way. The complexity from the nose is squashed here. There's some sweetness, but it's quite minimal. Mostly dry. Some oil for sure though. F: Super drying. Lots of tannins. I thought that the palate was OK, but this is sliding in the wrong direction. Way too tannic. - Conclusion - This unfortunately went steady downhill, ending with a really rough finish. It's hard to pick a rating for this, but it's certainly below a 12. I don't think it's below a 9 though. I'm thinking an 11. I could make a decent cocktail with this though if I winged it.

An elegant Agave Spirit by Master Distiller Enrique Fonseca for Tequileña Distillery (NOM 1146) aged for 3 to 6 months in American white oak, before being bottled additive free at 40% ABV. It has an aromatic birth with notes of cooked agave, wood, earth, fruits, herbs & spices; while a bold life adds notes of caramel, vanilla & citrus; that led to a balanced death of medium length with notes of oak, black pepper & cinnamon. Neat. Pale straw color. Nose is easy with agave with slight oak, spice, pepper, and earth. Taste is heavy, fruity agave, some dusty, smokey oak, vegetal and minerals with slight spice, pepper, and vanilla. Finish is fairly short and dry with some oak tannins Nice honest tequila with no additives. Good flavor at a great price.

Nose: Spice and agave Palate: soft on the palate, agave, light caramel followed by baking spices Overall: Great Tequila for the price. $33 for 1L and additive free. Will keep on my shelf kovkng forward.

A very sweet vanilla on the nose, a light oakiness hits then unfolds into a vanilla heavy, roasted agave and toasted almond flavors. The finish is spicy and dry and relatively long. Absolutely in love

Better sipping tequila than Hornitos. I prefer the Blanco better. This makes a great mixer for margaritas. It is very good for the price. I would choose this over most for mixers.
