About this bottle
Homère Clément founded Habitation Clément at Domaine de l’Acajou when Martinique was in the midst of a sugar industry crisis, when beet sugar and cheap South American gained popularity. He had the notion to produce what is now called rhum agricole from fresh pressed sugarcane juice in the style of brandy, using a single-column pot-still. Rhum Clément Single Barrel is a mono-varietal rhum agricole, aged 8 years in new French oak unfiltered and bottled at cask strength. Each bottle is signed by the Cellar Master, labeled with the bottle number, barrel number, date of aging, and sugarcane varietal.
