About this bottle
This mezcal, coming from the state of Guerrero, is made from 7 to 12 year old cupreata agave. This agave species is quite resilient and grows on rocky cliffs at high elevations. After harvesting, the piñas are roasted in a wood earth oven and then put through a mechanical shredder before being fermented in pine wood vats. The juice is then double-distilled in a copper pot sill. It's bottled at 86 proof.
